Canadian Rocky Mountain Destination Elopement – Echo and Shawn
Echo and Shawn’s Canadian Rocky Mountain Destination Elopement
Echo and Shawn travelled all the way from Vancouver for their Canadian Rocky Mountain destination elopement. We started the day off among the emerald coloured waters of Lake Louise. We took our time and explored our way down the Bow Valley for most of the day. For the evening, we found ourselves at The Fairmont Banff Springs hotel. This location is a true castle in the Canadian Rocky Mountains.
“Most of our family lives in China. We want to bring some wedding photos back with us when we visit this summer”. They wanted photos in one of Canada’s premiere destinations for weddings. Lake Louise and Banff are two of the most picturesque landscapes in the area. The Canadian Rocky Mountains hold a special place in their hearts. They couldn’t have imagined having photos done anywhere else.
Many thanks to Makeup Mel (based out of Canmore) for her amazing work. She created slightly different looks for each of Echo’s beautiful dresses. Echo wanted a few different looks throughout the day. Mel was there to make sure Echo was touched up for each location we travelled to. It was fantastic to work with her! We highly recommend her if you are looking for one of the best hair and makeup artists in the Canadian Rocky Mountains.
A few words about the photos in the Canadian Rocky Mountains
These guys were pretty much up for anything, which was so awesome. When we photograph a couple in the Canadian Rocky Mountains, we want to take full advantage of the landscape. The mountain landscapes in Lake Louise and Banff are just breathtaking. Sometimes the best thing that can happen during your photo session is dramatic skies and a little bit of rain. It’s really such a romantic look. We love capturing the pure natural beauty in this area. These guys braved the rain for a few shots with the elegant Banff Springs Hotel . It made for such a beautiful backdrop, lit up as twilight fell upon us in the rockies. You never know what the weather will do in the mountains. Whatever happens though, we know the photos will be epic.
