Canmore Winter Engagement Photos // Amanda + Marc
Amanda and Marc ‘s Canmore Winter Engagement Photos
When Amanda went overseas she met the man of her dreams. It just so happens that they’ll be traveling back to Calgary in August 2014 for their Calgary Lougheed House Wedding. Marc is a military man and we can’t wait to see him in his full military regalia on their wedding day. They are currently figuring out how to ship ornamental swords over from England for the wedding celebrations (many of Marc’s groomsmen are in the military as well) – how awesome is that?
We had such a great time with these two for their Canmore winter engagement photos right before Christmas. It was a little chilly but these guys were total troopers and we had nothing but smiles to photograph all day long. Amanda is a huge fan of film photography, which warms our little hearts because we love it too. Marc bought her an old Pentax film camera this Christmas! So, we pulled out our old Nikon FM-2 camera. It was a birthday present that Andrew tracked down for me on e-Bay. The beauty of film is that you never know what you’re going to get until you process it. I think photography is far too instant these days – there’s something romantic about re-living a roll of film after patiently waiting for it to be processed. We’ll be bringing a few rolls of film to their wedding, so stay tuned for the results.
As always, Canmore winter engagement photos are to die for. Alberta is a beautiful province and although we love it here in summer, there’s something romantic about the fresh smell of pine and snow.

Well after patiently waiting we received our film from our new favourite processor Caribou Lab (pretty Canadian right?) For you film nerds out there we shot this on our Nikon FM2 with Fomapan 100.
